Thanks alot doctor for your help......I have a little different situation..I want to take my internship year from Qatar,but this year it is a must to have usml2 ck...so I want to take it in about 4 months from now as the internship year will start on October..
Is it possible or not???& if yes what are the steps I should take,because some people told me that I have to study first then register, as the exam will be within 3 weeks from regestration..is it right or not???I am waiting for your advise

DR. FUTURE....it's not a constant rule to be ligible after 3 weeks...and u must pass step 1 before you try and take on level 2 clinical knowledge or skills

no,they told me I can pass step 2 without step 1...plz,are u sure I couldn't??

yes doctor you can pass step 2 before step 1 I am sure of that

about step 2
it is in the clinical science like surgery - internal medicine - pediatrics - gyna
these subjects you already finished and have a good knowledge in them
so why not ... I think 4 months are enough ... but If you spend most of your time in study
about registeration you shoud contact them and ask them about the next exam session and when you should register

they can tell you what to do and if this time is enough

with all due respect Dr. ma7moud this year witnessed some major changes in the usmle exam system like the total grades for step 1 and 2 ck also the minimum mark.....so i think the best thing to do to be 100% sure is to contact amideast and also to contact the medical center in which you wish to spend your internship in.......good luck

I have old Kaplan videos from 2004. Now I bought Kaplan lecture notes 2008-2009 and there are some differences. Should I get the latest videos, or it won't make a big difference???

And what year are the latest videos ??

the difference in video is bigger and much important as doctors inform u with the new style of questions and topics which become important & vice versa
the latest edition of kaplan centerprep videos is 2007 which is in the topic here

But my Biochemistry DVD4 is not working. Which files should I download from your list that correspond to that DVD?

I only have 4 DVDs for Biochemistry and you are listing many more DVDs .. so I am confused

I know it's confusing but i can explain it.
the original copy of these DVDs is very large in size about 70 DVDs
but this is impossible for people to be uploaded so they reduced the quality and convert them to become smaller .
here comes the variation
the one on rapidshare is 64 DVD [original]
my copy like yours 26 ONLY

I find Anatomy videos very long and kind of boring.

Are there subjects that are really good on DVDs which are recommended?

هى دى اخر نسخة موجودة
الامتحان فى القاهرة أو اسكندرية و بيبقى طول السنة و السعر تقريبا 1000$
بس متفكرش فى يوم الامتحان من دلوقتى .. لسه بدرى
المهم تقرا و تشوف هتقدر تمشى فى الموضوع ولا لأ..

الزمالة معدش ليها قيمة أوى و فى الخليج مثلا مبيعترفوش بيها خالص.
و معدش فى شغل فى انجلترا حتى.
لكن المعادلة بتفتح فرص مش بس فى أمريكا لكن فى دول كتير زى أستراليا و نيوزيلاندا. ممكن تشتغل فيهم بالمعادلة.
مفيش أولوية للأمريكان.. هما مش زى هنا هيشغلوا ولادهم و الباقى فى الزبالة. كله على حسب درجاتك و حاجات تانية زى تدريب سابق فى أمريكا.
بس المشكلة ان المعادلة طويلة شوية.. 4 أجزاء و الجزء الأول كله نظرى.. زائد ان العملية عايزة تفرغ و تفكير مش مجرد حفظ و خلاص.. زائد المصاريف .. الخ

اللى بيختار يحضر المعادلة الامريكية لازم يكون:
- مش طايق مصر و عايز يخلع منها (لأن دى مش حاجة بتاخدها و ترجع.. دى ملهاش علاقة بمصر خالص)
- مخه نظيف
- يقدر يبذل مجهود كبير فى المذاكرة (يعنى يذاكر طول اليوم لمدة سنة أو أكتر)
- معاه فلوس ومش مستعجل على الشغل

انا اعرف ان الزماله فى مصر بتتعادل بالماجيستير
وعلى عكس اللى حضرتك قولته اسمع ان فى الخليج المرتب بالالافات للى معاه زماله
ده اللى سمعته وقريت عنه....
